Friday Jan 28

I should have posted this sooner but oh well. Last Friday i worked on placing the set pieces in the 3rd level of the dungeon, worked on the lighting in all the levels i have done so far, worked on getting my dungeon on the main campaign's world map (all i have left to do there is export the map file and put it in the right folder), and created the main enemy the player will be fighting. I did not model the head, I used the tool set's character head creator. The map only shows the pin that i put for my dungeon but it is linked to the main campaigns word map so when i export it all the locations in the main campaign will be there.

First Capstone Entry

So this is my first blog entry about my capstone. I'll start by recapping everything from last semester up until this point. Last semester was mostly getting used to the tool set and getting as much of the layout of the levels done as possible. I had trouble with the area transitions but i believe i have found out how to fix them and get them to work. I also made quite a few custom weapons and armor last semester. Custom as in the stats are custom made not the models. I did find out how to put maya models in the game so i will be trying to put few of my own weapons in the game. I also experienced problems with lighting certain objects but there was an update to some models that will hopefully fix the problems. This week I finished the first two levels and have been working on the third. I have made 2 models so far. A bow and a dagger modeled after a kukri. Next week I am going to work on finishing the 3rd and 4th levels and getting my areas to appear on the world map of the main campaign.
